October 17, 2006 City Council approves Tax Exemption

The 5-year tax exemption states:
1. A new construction project must include 50% residential floor area including residential accessory uses and amenities.
2. Alteration of an existing improvement must have an alteration value which is the greater of $100,000 or 30% of the assessed value of land and improvements the year before the alteration is to begin and include improvements to the public realm.
3. Maximum term is five years.
The area will encompass Lansdowne to St. Paul St. and between 3rd Ave and 6th Ave.
It will also include 1st Ave. between Lansdowne and Seymour St. and the proposed redevelopment between Battle St.
and St. Paul.
