Downtown Gift Certificates
The KCBIA is rolling out an all-new, comprehensive, year-round Downtown Gift Certificate program that is promoting shopping in the Downtown core.
They are as good as cash and accepted as payment by Downtown merchants including service providers. Any merchant who wants to become a vendor can call our office.
Gift Certificates are:
- Available in $10, $20, $50 denominations
- Good as cash - process them in your normal bank deposit just as you would a cheque
- Encourage growth - You are keeping the dollars in your community and promoting local business
- Can be used to purchase anything from any downtown business
- Examples include;Goods from retailers, Spa services, Restaurant meals, Video rentals, Car maintenance, Groceries, Accounting - business services, Marketing - Advertising, Fitness, wellness classes, Gym memberships, Hotel accommodations, Pharmacy purchases, Options unlimited.
- Are the perfect gift for employees, business associates, or customers who already spend the majority of
their time downtown
- Are the perfect gift for hard-to-buy for people - they can pick out their own robe, haircut, meal, etc.
- More versatile then mall gift certificates with the array of businesses active in the downtown core
Merchants will treat gift certificates as good as cash and accept them as payment for any good or service they
provide. Change can be given. Merchants will deposit gift certificates with their bank deposit and funds will be
credited directly into their bank account. GC’s will become stale dated 6 months from issue date. In this event
customers can get a replacement GC by bringing stale dated one to the KCBIA office for replacement.
